I got a 2 on the ap us test but got 5's of Bio, envi sci, and world(last year). So my question is how much will this effect my chances at schools like MIT, JHU, Berkeley. I plan on studying up this summer and taking the sat II in US, so could a good score on this make up for a bad ap test score

Also, can I cancel or just not report the score. How does this look to colleges if I got an A in the class

just don’t report it on the application.

You can pay to have the score erased off of the record sent to certain colleges. You also can leave it off the common app, but when the report is sent, it will be shown. Regardless, I don’t think it will hurt your chances.

I don’t see how it would make or break your application. Put it on your application: it shows that you are willing to own up to your weaknesses.

As I said in another thread,

Every college says that AP test scores aren’t considered in the application process.

They’re probably inevitably glanced at, but when comparing resumes, AP scores aren’t the deciding factor.

It’s more alarming for a student to take a course and then mysteriously not report the AP test score.
