I have never gotten a C or C+ before on my report card in my life. I have only gotten one B in AP Spanish Language, and the rest of my grades have been B+'s and A's in mostly honors/advanced/AP classes. to give you a overall description of my stats, I have a 3.795 gpa out of 4.0 and a 3.9494 weighted gpa. my combined SAT scores are 2010.

so, I am applying to syracuse university ED to the Newhouse school of public communications and various other match/safety communication and journalism schools. so, right now I am taking AP Lang, and my teAcher grades extremely hard. as ive heard from last years AP Lang students, you usually get a B or B+ first marking period, which I was ok with considering it is AP and you have to learn/improve. ive been getting mostly B+s and Bs on assignments so far. but today, I got back our first big in class essay and got a C. I am so devastated because the marking period ends in two weeks, and this one grade brought my average down to an 80.8. we have a couple more assignments, but since we dont have many grades each marking period, I am so worries this will bring me down to a C+. I have A's in all of my other classes this year which include AP Calc AB, AP Stat, Spanish 5, us hist 2 (required non honors option course), Econ, journalism 3, and gym.

will one C+ first marking period have a terrible effect on my admissions chances to my schools, even though I have gotten no other Cs in my classes before?? I am panicking even though I dont have a C yet, I just don't want all my hard work in all my classes be affected by this one teacher who grades like a ***** and brings my grade down ridiculously. I mean, I managed to get an A every year of high school in honors English classes, a C+ first MP senior year does not correlate! sorry for making this so long! I would really appreciate input.
