One C First Semester

I just finished my first semester at a community college and these are my grades:

Honors Composition I (3 credit hours): A
Honors Intro to Psychology (3 credit hours): A
Effective Speech (3 credit hours): A
Logic (3 credit hours): A
Math for Elementary School Teachers I (3 credit hours): B
Health (2 credit hours): C

The only reason I got that B and C were because I was going through some mentally difficult times.....that coupled with a busy schedule, but it was mostly because I was struggling with some non-academic things....

Do you think that if I manage getting better the C will ruin my chances of transferring to a good school like Northwestern? Do you think it will ruin my scholarship opportunities (at any university, not just Northwestern)?

I want to major in elementary school education, and I had to take that Health class for my major. I'm in the honors program at my CC and I am also very involved with these religious classes outside of school. I also have a part-time teaching job.

Sorry, I meant to say: “if I manage getting better grades for the remaining three semesters, will the C ruin my chances of…?”

The C is for a 2 credit class, so perhaps that SLIGHTLY lessens the blow. However, a C will not do you any favors. All I can say is, aim for a 4.0 next semester.
