One "C" on first semester senior transcript?

Before this semester I had a 3.72 (weighted) GPA and a 3.56 unweighted GPA. I take all IB classes and I have impressive recommendations and extracurricular activities. Aside from this C (which was in IB Biology, my weakness–and sciences are unimportant to my major, creative writing), I received four A's and two B's. I know I deserve this grade so I'm scared to talk to my teacher about getting it changed. Will schools like Beloit, Ithaca, and Northeastern reject me because of this?

I’m wondering about this too!
I got my first C in physics this semester. Is it wise to send a letter explaining why I got this C and then promising to do better second semester? Or would this be seen as an excuse and draw more attention to the C on my transcript?

Thanks :)

It’s good to know I’m not the only one!

No, they will not reject you for once C. Applications are viewed holistically. Stop worrying.

Besides, will knowing the answer to this question change ANYTHING? No.
