ONE Card Question

Your Checking and Savings account, through Wachovia, are accounts that are accessible on your One Card if it is a One Card Plus. Basically you have three major links from your One Card that are accessible.

1)Flex- This account is good for buying food in the bottom of Lenior. There are perks as LDmom mentioned two posts up.

2) Expense- Expense is a broader account, accessible for food purchases, laundry and even many restaurants in the immediate area. You can even use your expense money to pay for a new one card if you lose yours! Expense money is kept through the University.

3)Savings and Checking- These accounts, with Wachovia, can be withdrawn from and deposited into at any Wachovia ATM ( a rough count i think is 8 atms on campus?) You can use the card like a check card/deb it card anywhere that accepts VISA cards. This is your broadest option but does not however have tax exemption perks like your expense and flex accounts (these tax breaks are only on campus i believe, maybe you can clarify here LDmom?)

can you transfer money from your wachovia account to the flex or expense accounts and then get the tax benefit? How do you make that transfer?

My understanding is the tax benefits are just on campus ty...but I'm not certain.

Yes...you do load your dining flex and expense accounts to get those tax benefits...but I believe you have to make the transfer via mail, in person, or via the phone. Wachovia account holders can make the transfers with no bank service charges. Another perk! :)

I have the One Card Plus. If I go to Jamba Juice in the bottom of Lenoir, how do I use my flex money to pay for a smoothie? Will I be asked if I want to use my debit, expense, or flex to pay? I've put money in all three areas, but I don't want to use up my laundry money (expense) on Chik-fil-A or something, haha. : )

Anyone know the answer to my flex money question? I would appreciate it soooo much. : )
