Hi
I'm a junior looking to apply to ivy leagues next year. I've always gotten all A's and A-'s but there is a course this year that I'm thinking I might get a C on. Will this be a huge factor? Like, say I have a good enough application overall to be accepted had that C been an A - I wouldn't get rejected just because of that one C in junior year?

Don’t worry about this one keeping you out of University X. Worry instead about what you are going to say tomorrow when you go talk to the teacher about where to start so that you can pull that grade up as high as possible before the school year ends.

I had one C first semester senior year, and I still got into 2 of my 3 Ivies. But, from when I was about .2% away from getting a C for a class in junior year, I understand your stress. I had this horrible feeling that I had worked so hard for the past 2 and a half years - and truly for all of my life - and that all of that hard work could be overshadowed by one bad mark.

In more general advice, one C is most likely not going to kill you in a holistic admissions process. Talk to your teacher; see if you guys can work something out based on how much you can pull your grade up.
