One kid can ruin it all...

We're currently watching Lagaan in AP World.

The Indian movie abt how Bhuvan chuked the British out of Champaner?

who doesn't like a good hindi movie...lagaan is one of the few good ones out there.

My AP teachers are still assigning homework. I have a ten page paper due soon.

Yeah I have this huge research project that counts for my entire 4th Quarter grade in AP Stat. On top of that my teacher said he's going to take 10 points off of our grade on the project for everyday we're absent and 5 points off for every time we're late to class. What kind of nonsense is that?? I also have to write a paper about some movie in AP GoPo and we're learning new stuff in AP Cal AB. I have a quiz on Monday in Calc! not cool.

dvlnfv5,
If you like Lagaan, You would jus love Rang De Basanti. Its all about our generation and political corruption and how these 5 ordinary college kids made a difference. I would highly recommend it.

Oh i would go find that person and kick there ass, honors and regulars watch about a movie a week, maybe more at my school.. Last time i watched a movie was when we watched king lear, boring.

Really. I'll have to see if my parents have that one. My mom buys all of these pirated Indian videos, heh.

we have to watch movies that have somehting to do with the subject...in AP lit we watched harry potter IV and now we are watching #III....in APUSH we are watching forest gump (actually some important info in that movie)...

No way! Lagaan is much better than Rang de Basanti. The the direct resort to violence in Rang de Basanti makes it bad. They just go like ok we don't like him, he is corrupt, so we are going to shoot him. Its messed up and a little unrealistic since you can't just kill a politician any time you want. Anyways, my point was Lagaan is definitley much better movie.

Dude i dont think you got the message....the basic theme of the movie was 'A generation awakens'.....if u notice and analyse you will see that it revolves around the comparison of british raaj with the raaj of the Bhura's (or Indian politics)...the movies makes the comparison of the five-some with Bhagat Singh's group.....
The reason behind killing the politician was not one to tell the youth to go out and kill everyone but to open their and "sarkaar's " eyes...('inhein hilane ke liye ek dhamaka chahiye').....
If u are an analytical person you will see that their was a beautiful message in the end...The guys discuss life in 'JAIL' they never thought they would be killed arbitrarily....this ending itself shows us that nothing has changed since independence....
In 1947 we were fighting against hippocracy (not Whites) and even today we are under hippocracy (just that the Bhuri chamdi has taken over)....Nothing has changed...the only difference betweent then and now is that now there are not even rebelions to this injustice.....

That kind of happened to our class... but in the 5th grade.

hmm our ap calc class is in the middle of the road. We have to do a few easy projects and we also get to watch movies.

We were watching 40-year-old Virgin in our AP Calc Class after we finished Apacolypse Now (after the AP Exam). One AP Comp Sci class watch I, Robot...another calc class was watching A Beautiful Mind, and another was watching Minority Report.
