One Last chance for a OOS student for G-Tech

I'm a high school senior who lives in Maine. I was defered in December and I'm waiting to here back. I recently wrote them a letter 1 week ago telling them that they were my #1 school and that I would definitly enroll if I was accepted. I also talked about school and awards I won.

My stats:
GPA: 88.33/100 which converts to 3.33/4. I don't know my exact G-tech calculated GPA. My schedule consist of 3/5 honors classes and 2/5 CP classes. All my honors class are in Science and Math. I'm taking engineering my senior year. I have a 95 in that class. I am also taking two math classes my senior year, FST and pre-calc.

SAT(Superscored):
Math: 730
Critical Reading: 590

Tech doesn't look at writing so I have a 1320/1600

EC'S:
Football (9-12), Captain of team senior year
Baseball (9, 12)
Track (10, 11)
Tennis (11)
Science Team (11)
Won a top history student award for grade in 11th grade
Won various football awards, including leadership awards.
Work as a dishwasher at Country club 20hr/s a week during school year and 30 hr/s week in summer. I have been promoted to cook.
Volunteered at a food pantry before senior year for 60 hr/s.
Shadowed with several specialty doctors in a hospital during summer before senior year for a week.

So what do you think. Does being OOS help me since everyone is competing for the HOPE scholarship? Any honest chances would be great.

Actually, I think being OOS hurts. I don't know of any confirmed sources, but the rumor is that Tech gets a lot of pressure to admit in-state students. Apparently, the OOS/In-state ratio is a little too high for some GA residents / lawmakers.

Honestly, I think you're reaching, but you never know. Good luck.

It is a high ratio, but they actually do that on purpose to offset the costs onto OOS students. That way, we in-staters have lower tuition while having excellent facilities, and FinAid is higher for in-staters. It sounds horrible, but if you look at alot of Midwestern schools that have implemented ratio caps, they have astronomical tuitions.

Not to mention we get the "cream of the crop" from other states, putting us at a competitive advantage in USNWR as well as continue to make Atlanta sprawl out even more...

I have almost the same stats but am international ... so what are my chances ?
