One Last "Chance" for a Stern ED Applicant

<p>I applied EDI to STERN (Major: International Business), and I'm kind of freaking out because I find out next week (I suppose everyone else is, too). Chance me and I will be eternally grateful!</p>

<p>White, Male, Arizona (Underrepresented State?), Public School
GPA: 3.72 - almost all honors/AP except two art classes/PE and Health (which are requirements)
Rank: top 25% (not really relevant, will explain later)
SAT: M: 650 (low, I know), CR: 800 (wish it was math instead...), W: 680
APs: 5-APUSH, 5-PSYCH, 5-ENGLANG, 5-ENGLIT, 4-HUGEO</p>

<p>ECs:
Owned business dealing with clothing exports to Japan for 3 years
Artist Agent (web design, translation assistance, contact)
President/Founder of school animal rights club - 2 years
Studied Japanese in Japan for 8 Months for a semester in Junior year (I got less credits 2nd semester, thus the low rank) & 2 months this past summer
I speak native level Japanese
AP Scholar w/distinction, National Merit commended
I'm also a photographer and sometimes shoot for money
Photo Club treasurer
Member of Competition Government Class (We the People); my school's team usually goes to nationals</p>

<p>Essays/Supplements: Both excellent, in my opinion
Teacher Recs: Amazing
Counselor Rec: Probably generic (I go to a public school)</p>

<p>My Math SAT and GPA aren't wonderful, but hopefully everything else will make up for that? What do you think?</p>

<p>your math SAT score is quite low for stern applicants. But your extras are amazing and you have a good GPA. I’d say 80% maybe. Gr it’s so hard waiting for results when cornell is receiving their tomorrow!</p>

<p>Your biggest weakness is the Math score. I’m sorry to say that you didn’t even make it to 700. However, others are pretty good and can probably to partially cover your math disadvantage…</p>

<p>I sure hope so… It’s not that I’m bad at math I’m just not good at multiple choice tests… I’m in AP Calc now for god’s sakes!! >_<

<p>As everyone else said, everything is great aside from your SAT math. I agree with the 80% measurement, maybe even push it up to 85% or 90% because of your japanese qualifications.</p>
