Anybody applying to Huntsman? Let’s help each other out.

Hey Pepero!
I'm applying to Huntsman ED. Are you applying ED or RD? And by the way, are you an international student? (I saw your other post about financial aid). Where are you from? I'm applying from Brazil by the way. And good luck with all your applications this year!

I am also planning on applying, but im not really sure if i can get in or not. I am from the United States, but I was an exchange student in Ecuador.

Hey guys :)
I'm applying ED .... without financial aid which is very depressing.

I'm an international, from Asia, and personally think my chances are bottoms :) How about you guys?

I think ppl applying to UPenn special progams have to write the most essays out of all the top unis this year

Pepero, why do you say its depressing how you´re not applying for financial aid? :/ I am applying for FA...

I was looking at your stats from your other post, and I personally think you´re chances are good...I´m starting to worry with so many people saying how you have to be almost perfect in everything to get in...but then there are also those people who say that you don´t have to necessarily be ´perfect`. So i can´t really judge...but I think your stats are pretty good...academically, and especially your EC´s!

As for me, I HOPE my stats are enough for me to get in...doesn´t really look as great as your guys´ though. I don´t have time to post my stats right now, but I´ll post them later.

By the way, as I said in my previous post, I´m from Brazil, and I´m applying as an international, but I lived in the US for 6 years.

Hey leo :)

Well, you see, applying for aid does evidently decrease your chances of admissions and in such a competitive program like Huntsman, you need more than luck and just ability to get in. and applying FA isn't going to help.

Thanks for saying I have a chance, but probably everyone applying to Huntsman is really capable so..:)

And since you lived in the U.S for quite some time, you would be much more favorable in the eyes of the adcoms for FA

Let's help each other alot!;)

If you are a US resident the admissions is "need blind" meaning they do not factor in your need for financial aid when deciding to accept you or not. This is only for domestic applicants. Any applicant from another country will have their request for financial aid factor in to whether they get in or not. Many international students at Penn are paying for their entire education.
