one of the things i dont understand....

I dont understand why some people want to hide some of their scores or even

care about score choice

Do colleges care whether one of the subscores is bad?

if they do, would it really matter for the college acceptance?

I got CR 540 M 800 WR 630 in my first try in sat

Despite my pathetic score in CR (or WR too for some people)

I am still going to report this test

part of it is because i got 800 in math

but also I really don't care what colleges think about it

If i get higher score-which i am pretty certain about it- in the next

test and show the colleges that I have improved

wouldn't that show your passion about education and determination?

Anyone answer me please???

ya definitely they like that! i got 1800 then retook and got 2100, im definitely reporting that…im even gonna retake next year cuz i know i cud improve
what colleges dont like is people who get like 2350 their first try and retake like 5 times to try and get 2400…these ppl look like perfectionist obsessive snobs

No, your wrong, colleges don’t dislike or like whether or not someone gets a 2390 5 times and then a 2400, that is just the CC Delusion.

No, you’re* wrong. The difference between 2390 and 2400 is so miniscule that anyone who takes the test 5 times after getting such a score would be frowned upon.

This is partly the reason why CC fails to work. High schoolers, who don’t know what they’re talking about, try and give advice to fellow high schoolers.

Students want to exercise score choice because of two rules:

Rule No. 1: Colleges profess that if you submit scores from multiple tests they will use (which one depends on college) either the highest subscores from those tests or that test with the highest composite score to determine admission and thus they will not hold bad scores against you.

Rule No. 2: Few students believe Rule No. 1.
