One Of These Chance Threads

GPA: 4.05 out of 5.0 (kinda low, our school doesn't rank but 18% of ppl have GPA > 4.0)
SAT: 2150 (660/690/800), 2110- best combined in 1 sitting

SAT II's : Math Level 2: 800, Chemistry: 800

AP's: BC Calculus--5, Chemistry--5, Statistics--5

Awards/Extracurricular's

2 time USAMO qualifier (AMC12: 129, AIME: 9)

ARML participant/ 2006 Individual High-scorer (i got a 7)

school math team captain

tutoring
-participation in state math competitions, 3rd place in state last year

I'm applying to Caltech, Cornell, UMichigan early. What are my chances at these three schools?

Should I apply for schools less competitive than UMichigan (It appears that my UMichigan chances are pretty good since I was invited to visit there this summer for doing well on AIME? But I'm not that confident about this)

No, concentrate ur efforts on these schools for Early. Apply to safeties in ur RD.

Your GPA and standardized test scores aren't great.

But you have USAMO and ARML, which are both great hooks for Caltech. Past that, you seem pretty one-dimensional in your ECs.

Cornell: Reach
Caltech: Low Reach
UMich: Match/Low Match

Should I even apply for MIT RD? (Is it even worth applying with bad GPA+SAT)

What are my chances for UWisconsin, UIUC?

Yea, MIT can be forgiving about the numbers, and they will see the passion for mathematics with USAMO and ARML.
