So far I’ve written four essays for the common application essay. I would like some input from those who are not applying this year (or in years to come, hahah). I know I sound snobby by saying that, but come on guys, it’s the internet. No offense against any specific individuals - just a precaution for my own sanity. :D

Let me introduce the four candidates,!!!
"Significant Influence" This one has a nice parallel structure deal going on and people have called it “polished” and “sophisticated”

“Significant Experience”…except that experience hasn’t happened yet (I’ll compete in August, heheh). But this one has a unique approach. I have about 250 words left that will be devoted to the climax and conclusion. Knowledge of music is recommended

“Topic of Choice” Um. It’s really random, almost spastic. However, it DOES show personality. Somewhat.

“International Concern” Yup. How Korean education sucks and screws us all over. The conclusion is a work in progress. I will definitely need to change it.

So take your pick people. Of course, if you would like to read more than one, that’s always welcome too.

I’ll be applying to Yale (SCEA), Rice, Brown, Stanford, Duke, Princeton, Northwestern, UMich, Harvard and Emory.
Thanks to you all in advance! I really appreciate it :D

So you wrote four essays?! Well, if you're applying to those schools you'd better have good essays, so I'll take a look at all of them. ;) By the way, how do you get the green smily-face?

Well, Merlin, if you don't give me a :D I don't think I can trust you to give me any useful advice! Hahah, just kidding. I just love how everyone has been giving me the green smileys. It makes mihan happy.

PM me, however I like to critique essays on how much you change them and I also like to see if you lost your voice during the revisions, they just help me critique your essay better overall. So send your drafts with your revised essays.....if you want of course...... =] =]
