One Quick Question

I don't know if i should apply for financial aid or not. I'm pretty sure that with my parents income, I won't get any; but Ive heard that a lot of colleges choose their scholarships and grants and stuff off of FAFSA forms. Someone help me! Should I apply or not?

plus wouldn't it look bad if i applied and my parents made more than the cut off?

It can't hurt to apply, if you are not sure whether or not you will get any. And some colleges DO require it for merit scholarships as well.

It won't look bad, because you have no way of knowing every college's cut off point.

Believe it or not, there are some families that make outrageous income and still qualify for financial aid. There are no set cut off points. Every family's situation is different. That's why the forms ask for so much more information than parent's income.

Fill out the forms anyway. A friend of mine had to submit them for a choral scholarship.
