I took the SATs this month and got the results today. I got a 630 in math, 680 in writing, and 800 in writing (stunned). This combines for a 2110. I am looking to go to a very selective school and I know that 2110 is about average there, but should I be worried because my math score by itself is in the lower 25% or accepted students? I'm really happy about my total score but worried about math...help!!!

writing isn’t that important so you are kind of screwed.

What school is this for? …

Middlebury College…writing is important to them…

I do think you should retake it. Try to get your math score in the 700s and you’ll be good to go.

sorry…meant 680 in reading!!! i got 800 writing.

I’ve taken many many practice test and have never gotten over a 670 on math. I’m a junior and I’m in AP Calc though…uggghh

For the questions you get wrong, do you:

(A) run out of time and feel pressured
(B) not know how to do the problem
(C) make a stupid mistake (i.e. 7+8 = 13)
(D) none of the above
