One really interesting phone call with College board

So I took the SATs this November and it was my fourth time. I basically went in with the mindset of I am getting an 800 in math or I am canceling the test. After discussing the test I found out I got 2 questions wrong in math and I decided to cancel the test. My guidance counselor faxed my cancellation form and told me that its canceled. The website still shows that I took the test so I decided to call collegeboard to confirm that the test is canceled. After confirming that I am the person who is in charge of the account I ask him if the November scores were canceled. He looks through my account and is talking to himself and reads my sat scores out loud. Until he reads 3 numbers I never received before.

I said to him "were those my scores?"
He's asks me "what?"
I answered "Those numbers you just read outloud, were those the scores I recieved this November?"
He stopped and said "yes they are, but they are canceled."

The scores were not as bad as I thought but still not what I wanted so I am glad it was canceled. But collegeboard has my scores on file a week before it comes out.

I bet if you beg a representative they will finally just tell you.

that’s so stupid. why don’t they just post it up already then. they’re evil

On the day they release them, a number of people still have to wait a bit longer. They give themselves 3 weeks or so to try to get as many as done as possible, and so a reasonable time period. Interesting to know they still have canceled scores in their record, though I guess that makes sense when you think about it.

Also, they release scores a few days after the last day for late registration for the following month’s test. Coincidence? I think not :(

2 wrong is not an 800? I’ve gotten like 6 wrong on Math 2 and gotten an 800…

these were sat Is

please tell what they were lol, we can use the info to determine curves.

lol that guy was probably thinking to himself: “oh shoot!! I just messed up really bad!! this better not be one of those collegeconfidential kids or it’s my ass on the line!”

PLZ post your scores!

^Very interesting story. DoinSchool is right - LOL.

For some reason I’m kind of skeptical of this story…

i got 720 on math and 700 on reading if that helps

2 wrong in math isn’t -80. More like 4 wrong.

^this can only mean that the consolidated answers were wrong for math at the least.

no offense but i hope you got 6-8 wrong (once again no offense… youre smart and all… but for my own sake…so i feel like i did really good)

do you remember how many you got wrong for the CR? u know… guestimating… my goal is a 650+ but im worried…

i think i missed about
MATH
4-6 leaving 2 omitted (but one was a GI)

CR
6-10 maybe? 12 worst??

W
10-12 Essay, and miss say 4-8?

no i obviously got more wrong than 2
