So I took the SATs this November and it was my fourth time. I basically went in with the mindset of I am getting an 800 in math or I am canceling the test. After discussing the test I found out I got 2 questions wrong in math and I decided to cancel the test. My guidance counselor faxed my cancellation form and told me that its canceled. The website still shows that I took the test so I decided to call collegeboard to confirm that the test is canceled. After confirming that I am the person who is in charge of the account I ask him if the November scores were canceled. He looks through my account and is talking to himself and reads my sat scores out loud. Until he reads 3 numbers I never received before.

I said to him "were those my scores?"
He's asks me "what?"
I answered "Those numbers you just read outloud, were those the scores I recieved this November?"
He stopped and said "yes they are, but they are canceled."

The scores were not as bad as I thought but still not what I wanted so I am glad it was canceled. But collegeboard has my scores on file a week before it comes out.

I bet if you beg a representative they will finally just tell you.

On the day they release them, a number of people still have to wait a bit longer. They give themselves 3 weeks or so to try to get as many as done as possible, and so a reasonable time period. Interesting to know they still have canceled scores in their record, though I guess that makes sense when you think about it.

Also, they release scores a few days after the last day for late registration for the following month’s test. Coincidence? I think not :(

lol that guy was probably thinking to himself: “oh shoot!! I just messed up really bad!! this better not be one of those collegeconfidential kids or it’s my ass on the line!”
