one semester at CC?

is it possible that i could finish one semester at cc and get accepted to UCLA?

no. if you have tons of AP’s and college credit already, you can transfer after one year

i am a freshman at UPitt and will transfer to santa monica college during the spring semester…

You can try, but the odds are more in your favor after you have junior standing; that is, 60 semester units of UC-transferrable or equivalent courses.

You need junior standing (60 transferable semester units) for UCLA. How many semesters it takes for you to get that many units is up to you.

yes, it’s possible, 1-yr transfers often get accepted to ucla on the basis of a single (typically fall) semester with coursework just planned for the 2nd…though it’s not clear to me if you’re a 1-yr transfer or 2-yr, but either way, it’s possible

One semester - never heard of. One year - sure. I have a buddy who took quite a few classes at our local CC during HS and summer. When he graduated HS, he loaded up… I think it was something like 18 units in the fall and 25 units in the spring plus everything he did before (keep in mind that he had 60 units so he was transferring as a junior but technically he’s a sophmore)

my gpa is 2.2 at UPitt
i am planning to transfer to stanford or ucla for my junior year
which community college is the best for stanford?

lol, not to burst your hope or anything but I heard that Stanford accepted something like 20 out of 1,000 transfer applicants this year. I wouldn’t say there’s any community college that is “best for Stanford.”

With a 2.2 it’d probably be more reasonable to spend a few semesters accumulating ~60 units with a stronger GPA, and then apply to UCLA or a similar UC.

Best wishes.

2.2GPA

stanford?

dude…

wow, I hope you’re a ■■■■■.

consider UCSC or UCR.

i know that is why i will go to community college

I don’t think you’re going to get California residency; in fact if you complete work outside CA you can’t qualify as a CCC student…
