One Week of Preparation - SATs- Enough?

After much SAT testing apathy rooting from the beginning of my Junior year, I have decided to take a shot at the SATs once more. I have taken the ACTs a couple times and I have gotten 31+ and i am expecting a 32+ from this last seating.

Anyway,

What would be the best things to go over this week before the test?

What is the best format to write an SAT essay? Any tips? My teachers in school say that I am one of the top essay writers in my class, but i only got a 8 on my essay last time. This is weird because I received an 11 on the ACT writing portion.

Any help would be awesome!

I got a 1900 last time and I am hoping for a 2100+. Is this goal reasonable?

haha 200 points in 1 week? Yeah sounds feasible.

Honestly, maybe you can could it.

Memorize vocab, get your essay to 12, is all I can really think of to do in a week.

I never studied for my SATs and ended up with a 2190 (2100 first time, 2160 second time, superscore 2190). It really depends on who you are and how well you test. Also, you're a junior! You have plenty of time. I didn't take my SATs until May of my junior year (on two hours of sleep in Tel Aviv where I obviously was not so clearheaded).

Mind you I have been studying for the ACTS all of last year, so I have learned a lot since my last test in November of last year.

I can't seem to ace the math section, anyone got any suggestions? Books, tips, formulas, place to try practice problems, etc? I have gotten a 36 on act math, 800 on math 2c, and 5 on AP Calc test (A/A in course), but I can't seem to do well on the math section.

Can anyone go into detail how to nail a 12 on the essay?

bump?

What would be included in a 12 essay? How should the structure go? Formal or informal?

Are there any formulas or tips, that i should definitely know for the math section?

Id suggest going and then speedreading through "Barrons 2400"

its seriously the best book out there and short enough for this time period

It can be done. Read Grammatix.

it really depends on who you are. Some people i know went in, no preparation, and got over 2300. Others i know are smart kids, but just cant take the SAT, even after studying. Depends on you man.
