Hello CC's I am in need of some advice. I took the sat in january and got a 2020 (650m, 670cr,700w), but I am scheduled to retake it saturday. My goal is a 2250. What I want to know is if their are any success stories of this magnitude with similar scores. I have the next 4 days to prepare. I got all the books and everything, but my question is how should I go about it. Should I just take practice test after practice test, or what?
Any help is appreciated, any stories are excellent. Thanks

Does the college board still offer the detailed online feedback (viewing the questions that you got wrong and their answers, viewing the categories in which you scored highest/lowest)? I know they did for the PSAT’s. If they do, I’d look through that and then focus your studying on the areas in which you scored lowest. For example, if you scored lowest on the geometry questions in the math section, then focus more on geometry and less on algebra, etc.

Oh, and for the CR&writing, make sure you’re good with grammar, how best to write things in a sentence, and dangling modifiers. You can probably find practice worksheets online about “Which of these is the best way to write the sentence,” etc.

ya you definitely have the potential to get 2250. I went from 159 sophomore psat to 205 junior psat to 2210 may SAT and did so by just doing a butt load of practice tests. You do have to go through each practice test and see why you missed certain questions to help yourself learn. However, with so little time left, you shouldn’t kill yourself with too many practice tests but instead squeeze in maybe one or two last minute tests and some light vocab and grammar review.
