Hey guys

I really want to raise my ACT composite to a thirty but I am not sure how. I currently have a 28 english, 24 math, 32 reading, 23 science, and a 10 on the essay. When I took the test in April i just studied out of the princeton review book yet I know that I can do better than a 27. I am currently looking at the Princeton review online ACT prep class but I am wondering at how good it is. They say that it will raise your composite by 3 points. Has anyone out there had success with this specific online class? Was it worth the money? Any help on how to raise my score will be appreciated. I want to apply Early Decision to my first choice school which is very competitive so I need help as quickly as possible.

I have a lot of friends who take online SAT/ACT classes and from what I've heard, it's definitely NOT worth the money. It looks like you need to focus on math and science, but don't let the science intimidate you. It looks really complicated and has a lot of words and graphs and stuff, but you don't need to read too much; the questions are always based on if you can read the graphs and charts. They might involve experiments in geology and such, but you don't need to know geology; just focus on understanding the data. The more practice tests you do, the better you'll do, and it's probably best not to waste money on online programs.

Thanks for your answer. Does anyone else have anything to say about this subject or scoring higher on this test in general? I really need help. Thanks
