Hello, I am currently a Junior in High School, and I have a question regarding academic rigor. My school offers around 10 AP courses and around the same for honors. I come from a very competitive school so for most honors and AP courses, you will need to apply and have good grades. So far I have taken only one AP course and no honors at my school, and that is because none of the Advance Placement courses offered at my school interest me, so I am afraid that if I took it, i would get a bad grade. Currently I am taking AP microeconomics online because I am very interested in the subject, but my school does not offer it. If colleges see my academic rigor is low at school, but see that I really challenge myself online, will it make a difference?
