OK so here’s my situation: I was a lazy freshman and my schoolwork was abysmal. So my school has a policy of only letting people into ap classes who did really well in the preceding classes in the year before. I’m planning to take online AP’s next year at VHS. My question is will upenn and other ivies consider the online AP’s at the same level of those offered at my school.
I would assume this depends on your exam scores, since those are standardized. I took several AP courses online and got into Penn, but it’s really hard to isolate any one factor.
^^ That’s correct. Colleges don’t care if you take an AP course on-line or studied for the AP test on your own. What matters is your grade. Many students self-study for AP exams and get 4’s or 5’s. So, it is possible to do, even without taking a course.
