ONLINE APP RELEASED! but i have a QUESTION

Yes! its about time! You know they let you send in an extended resume on the paper app? I dont see a space for you to upload your extended resume on the online app-- am i wrong? Do i have to make due with the space they give me? Can i send one in on paper? or have my guidance counselor attach it to her report?

maybe because they don't want loads of anal & extensive resumes ...

BUMP. I'd like to know the answer to this too.

Shut up jf215, some people have done more worthy ECs that matter to them than there is space for on the App. Also, some of my clubs/positions had special circumstances and I'd like to explain them in more detail than the tiny space they provide.

Besides, all the other schools as well as previous UPenn students had the option to send an additional resume. Even the UPenn paper application says there is that option.

Does anyone know how to do it online?

I'd just use the space provided and list the top ECs that you have.

Submit the application online and then send the resume in the mail. That's what I'm doing.

drummerboy88, that's what I did last year. I also sent my research paper (just to let them know that I have a research paper--they wouldn't understand what it's about.), my resume, together with other letters of recommendation (sealed individually). That was because I already had to send my counselor recommendations in the mail, so I packed everything in a bundle.

My most important ECs were all science-related. So, the job of my resume was to say that I also did something else, e.g. running, music, clubs, for like 2-5 hrs a week; that I was not a whole nerd typo. If they ever cared about it.

There was the last part of the application that allowed me to upload my photo in *.doc file, which could also be used for resume uploading, but I wouldn't recommend doing that since that will result in a word "photo" printed on the margin of your resume.

One thing to note: include your full name, your applicant ID (or SSN if you use it), and your date of birth on every page you send. That somehow makes adcom's jobs easier and shows your attention to detail.

just pick the ones that are most imortant, as someone else said.

...and "breakordeath" i don't remember talking to you, but whatever.
