just curious, do most people get an e-mail to apply with Emory's online app?
is it anything special or common?

Emory seems really cool; I'm going to research the college some more.

Was it the "special online app"?

PIANOTE, Did you demonstrate much interest in Emory; visit, info session, etc...?

yea i got that too...

im planning on visiting soon, since i live in the atlanta metro area.

I was planning on submitting the common app and Emory supplement. Do you think this app matters much?

I hope it is not like Tulane's "special"app which basically is e-mailed to the world.

I filled out an info request postcard or something in 10th. They wanted stats etc. Other than that, I haven't visited etc. Yea, that called it the "special online application." But from what I hear, some colleges send out e-mails like that to virtually everyone.

My commonapp is 100% complete but I guess I could submit this internal application. Are u applying?

I'm pretty sure I'm going to apply, but I still want to learn more about Emory--kinda pointless to blindly apply to somewhere. Oi, but I missed the scholars deadline...bleh.

Isn't pretty nice/ convenient having the common app completed?

Yes, but of course I applied to several schools that did not take the commonapp. I visited Emory and it seems to be a great fit. Hopefully the admissions office will agree!

Ohh, how I'd kill for extra time for college visits. What was the atmosphere like? Sociable/ friendly students? Impressions? etc.?

I'm restricted to learn about Emory via CC, guidebooks, and internet. bleh.

I loved the atmosphere. Spent two days earlier in the year. Gorgeous campus chock full of Coca Cola $$$. It was definitely geared towards the undergraduate. Not far from Atlanta. What else?

Surprising # of upscale northeast students which I guess is my classification.
I sat in on several classes and definitely enjoyed the environment. I could tell fairly early that Emory was for me. Good balance of academics and social life.

I will apply ED II soon and cross my fingers.
