online application help...

I'm applying to transfer into Columbia College and I have a question for anyone who has filled out the online application. What do we do if there isn't enough space to say what we need to, like in the "summer activities" section, for instance?

write less

LoL.

Prc618, if you feel that you can't "write less", and that your activities fully reveal who you are, then I would suggest you to place them in the "additional info" part (self-attached) that Columbia offers to applicants who wishes to add more things. This usually follow the essay section of the application when viewed.

But it's unreasonably short in some spots, for instance, it won't let me type "BA in History" for my father's degree

Well, I had a similar problem when I applied but I just abbreviated the long words.

The people reading the applications are veterans at this, so they’ll probably know what you mean.

*Might I suggest "BA in His", or just plain "BA"?

or BA History

somehow I managed to fit in my dad's stuff, which was. . . 14 characters including 1 space for graduate and 7 characters w/ one space for undergrad. So BA in History, I don't know why that doesn't fit.

Why do you need to specify the major? I didn't put any of that.

I put the school and the degree and the major and I don't know how all that stuff fit, but I did it online and it fit. There are separate lines, right?
