Does anyone know when they post the online acceptance or rejection status?
They say that you can see your status when the letters are mailed. Aren't they mailed this week????????????

When I check my status, it says this:

"Your application was completed on January 16, 2007

Thank you, (my name), for applying to Northwestern University. The admission committee will review all your materials and send you a decision by mid-April."

Mid-April?! I'm guessing that's at the latest because um...aren't we supposed to put down a deposit for a school by May 1?

Mine says "early April" online

All I know is that I check the freaking website every day...and that I'm all but dying in anticipation.

I was told by the director of music admission on March 12: "You’ll be hearing from us in a couple of weeks."

probably at the end of this month/early april

im guessing its going to be in the first week of april

I've posted this on another thread, but I'll say it again.

Last year, my friend got her letter on the 3rd of April, and it wasn't posted online until after then.

As you guys know, I was rejected last year. This is what i received from the admissions office:

Dear .........

We wanted to take this opportunity to inform you that admission decision letters were mailed from Northwestern University's Office of Undergraduate Admission on Tuesday, March 28, 2006. Although you will soon be receiving your official decision letter in the mail, we wanted to offer you the option of viewing your decision online, via a secure Web site, by clicking on the link below.

The link sends you to our Applicant Services page. In order to access your decision, you will be asked for your Application ID code, which was given to you in the application acknowledgement letter, as well as your e-mail address. If you have more than one e-mail address, please enter the one on record with our office. Once you enter this information and click submit, your admission decision should appear immediately.

If you prefer not to receive your decision electronically, simply wait for your decision letter to arrive in the mail. However, if you would like to see your decision now, visit https://ugadm.northwestern.edu/application.

Sincerely,
Office of Undergraduate Admission

Northwestern University

" Dear ...,

We are pleased that you have decided to apply to Northwestern University. We have received your application to the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences to begin study in Fall 2007. "

****... for an instant, while I began reading "we are pleased" I thought I was accepted. Arghhh... waiting sucks!

hahhahaa that happened to me too! twice! hehe

Last year, three of my friends' kids received phone calls ~ 3 days in advance of the online and snail mail acceptances. These students of the Uber-qualified variety, however, and viewed NU as a back up. They each applied to 13+ schools. None of them enrolled at NU. Sigh...

Now I'm freaking out because my status page says "mid-April" and others' say "early April"....Sigh. This is truly sucky.

hollywoodiva relax! it says both actually. In the main applicant service page https://ugadm.northwestern.edu/application it says early april. But once you log in and open the "view application status page" it says mid-april.

That's what appears to me.... is it the same to everyone?

Ohhh okay, I see now. Haha thanks waleedk...

Gah I think we all just neeeeed to know, now. This is ridiculously stressful!

OMG:))) I thought the same thing while reading that line...my heart missed a beat and I was like #@$% :))

Don't read anything into mid-april/early-april language. They say mid-april to cover their behinds in case it takes longer than anticipated. You should receive a decision by the end of the first week of April, at the latest. It will probably be sooner.

hey how in world did u check ur app status.cuz i dont seem to find anything of that sorts on NU website.Neither did they send me any e-mail.

WOW! Thanks for resurrecting a 4-year-old thread!
They don’t do it anymore. You should have received an application complete email, and they’ll email you when decisions are available.
