I guess this is really a question for AdmissionsDan.

I'm trying to copy my essay response from Microsoft Word into the JHU Supplement of the Common Application. The problem is, it says that I'm over the limit of 3500 characters. My essay is about 3750 characters (677 words) including spaces. What can I do? Should I put the rest in the Additional Information section?

Thanks.

Ok, Sorry, I found a response in a previous thread!

For anyone else who's wondering:

In the meantime, motion to extend the character limit on the JHU common app supplment.

Thanks for using the search function and finding my previous response. I have contacted our IT department and we will see what we can do about the character limit. No promises though -- so in the meantime still follow my advice about mailing in your essays if they do not completely fit.
