Online APs- Virtual Schools

I'm thinking of taking some online APs through some virtual schools.

The prices vary:

$299 Keystone National High School: AP Macroeconomics

$750 FLVS(out of state- in CA): AP Art History

$140(if they'll let me buy my own books)
Univ. of MO: AP Statistics

I'm taking AP Lit, AP US Gov, AP Cal AB(also w/ BC). I'm also taking Fren 2B online through CSU Sacramento.

AP Art History was supposed to be offered at my school, but they canceled it. I might take AP Stats and AP Macro, or AP Macro alone.

Is this a good idea?

I know for a fact that Art History is self-studyable. See this link http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=369861 for more info on which ones you can self-study. Then, go to www.half.com and buy the textbooks for 90%+ off. You could save a lot of money taking the independent study route for some of those courses.
