Hi, I was wondering if the chem videos are clear to watch? Can you actually see what they are writing down/hear what the professor is saying? Bc I know the lecture hall is pretty large...I am definitely still going to class, but just in case I miss class for something I want to be able to know if the videos are good quality for me to understand what I missed. Thanks!

It… depends. Typically it’s crystal clear and the kid filming it does a great job focusing on the board.
But it would be dishonest if I didn’t mention that it’s sometimes crap. I’ve watched lectures where the kid filming decided to not pay attention, completely missing half the board.
That’s rare though (I had two classes overlap one semester, so I had to always watch one class later- the “crap” lectures happened maybe 4 times in a semester of 40 lectures).

They’re certainly not 1080p or anything. In fact, the quality is pretty bad but that’s so you can download the videos almost instantly. The quality is decent enough so that you can see the board and hear the professor. When I watched the lectures, I found that the person filming screwed up pretty often. But everything you need will be there and you can always pause or rewind if you need to.

Here’s an example of a lecture video. Note that the sound quality in this video is probably worse than usual. [Gen Chem Lecture Loomis 9-14-11 - YouTube](<a href=“Gen Chem Lecture Loomis 9-14-11 - YouTube”>Gen Chem Lecture Loomis 9-14-11 - YouTube)
