I really need a 4.0 this year for both semesters, but I might get a B in pre calc.
What would happen if I take online classes? I'm self studying AP Comparative government so I can take the class online and add it to my transcript. Will that boost my gpa if I get an A?
Also, do I need to take the classes from specific accredited sites, or can I take it on BYU?

Bump! Anyone?

An unweighted 4.0 requires getting all As, no matter how many classes you take. Taking an online class will help your GPA, but I don’t think it helps enough to bother with.
If you take an online class, it doesn’t matter where you take it as long as your high school is willing to give you credit for it, and you’ll have to check with your guidance counselor to find out whether they will or not. You could just test out of a class and get credit for it if you don’t want to pay for an online class.
