I’m sure if you live in a rural area, you don’t go to a magnet/charter school… And you probably hate the lack of resources. (I wouldn’t join, but it’s just a thought… Most rural communities don’t have enough concerned people to advocate for gifted education priorities on a large scale.)

I know it probably wouldn’t draw enormous attention, but still could be nice.
I guess what could be done is quite limited by what internet offers, but we could pick topics and discuss, organize teams and big events (in the context of politics)…

I don’t know.
If anybody is actually interested in this, I think we should let imagination roll.

debate.org doesn’t have that “we are high schoolers and we say immature things” feel
I mean, in a high school debate group, you don’t have to look for 94179581 websites and sources to support your argument, there’s a certain sense of “we’re all still growing up”, while in popular websites like debate.org that doesn’t happen.
At least that’s my opinion.

You mean, the club?
I don’t know if there would be a way to show it to colleges but we would be “founding a way of making great friendships and developing debating and political abilities available to anywhere in the world”, sounds convincing to me.
But after all, I don’t think we should be doing it as an EC and instead more as a way of spending our time on something productive.
