Online college courses, any good experiences?

I teach an on-line course in an asynchronous environment. I love it and spend a huge amount of time on it but am probably way more active in engaging my students than most profs in my dept.
At least, that is what I’ve gathered from my course evaluations.
I teach mostly adult learners and find their own enthusiasm very satisfying. Of course, there are the occasional outliers but you 'll find that on both sides of the fence.

S has done a couple of Coursera offerings and loves them.

I appreciate the instructors who are really engaged. I especially appreciate the one who just hired me into his department at his full time job! He acquires a lot of new employees through his relationships with students.
