Online Course Question!

I'm the sort of person who would probably do better with an online course than I would self-preparing with books & whatnot. I was wondering-have any of you taken an online SAT course? And have you been successful with it? I'm considering Kaplan's, Princeton Review, etc.

thank you very much :)

I am currently taking PR's online course and it is awesome. The lectures actually aren't boring and so far, it's been very useful. IMHO PR is better than Kaplan at the SAT, so I chose them. Did you do the demos on their sites? That should give you a good idea of what to expect.

From what I have heard (I have not tried it), it is not worth $60. There are 18 lessons which you can basically get in the blue book for $20 (less on amazon) and six extra practice tests (which have been posted for free earlier).

If you need something to study that isn't just a book, I think the Barrons book w/ CD. If you are like me and hate bubbling in the answers and checking them and would rather have the computer do it for you, this is a good choice. I know Kaplan also has software that they sell, but I have never tried it. Also, since these are on CD, its often more convenient for studying.

I believe too that online course is not worth $60 (it would have made a lot of sense if it costs some $ 20, in comparson to most of the Study guides).

So i'm assuming I shouldn't bother with the CB's online course, then.

grr...I wish the good ones weren't so expensive.

tito..I can give you access to CB's online course. message me.

I think the SAT online-course is actually 5 dollars... no kidding.
Check ebay. Type in "online SAT" and you can buy the course for 5 or 6 dollars i believe...

The SAT online course didn't help me so it def. wasn't worth how ever much it is... I use the PR online course-type hting and it's cool cause it isn't boring and someone talks so it's not just me reading... and I get nice feedback for my essays (i think real people read them and in the comments they actually used my name...sometimes) that def. improved my essay skills and was really accurate with my actual writing score... i dunno about the others though...
