Do they show up on your transcript saying they were taken online?

not usually. online classes are not any less serious than live classes. why are you concerned about this particularly?

med school. i don’t want them to think i’m taking a cheapy online even tho that’s what i’m trying to do :)

I’m not sure about UF in particular, but all the other schools I’ve been to list the campus along with all other course information on your transcripts. Take a look at your transcripts online and if it lists a campus along with every course, it will probably say main campus-UF or something like that. For online courses, it says online course or distance learning. Schools notice this, but IMO it’s better to have a bunch of A’s bringing up your GPA even if they were online.

From everything I’ve heard, med schools don’t care if you take online classes if they are for electives or other non-science classes. They just don’t want you to take your science classes and labs online.

distance learning and online classes are very different animals. ‘online’ courses at uf typically have live sessions you can go to, and are recorded for students to view at their leisure.

i dont have any notations on my transcript about online classes that i can find.
