I want to take some online/summer courses, in a variety of different subjects. An online course would be especially beneficial because I can complete the course while attending school (as opposed to a summer course).
The community college near me offers online and summer programs, however, you have to be a sophomore and sixteen to participate. I am only a freshman, and I won't be 16 untill the fall of my junior year.
What I need is a program geared towards high school students. Has anyone had any good experiences with this type of program, and can offer me reccommendations?
Thank you for any help you can give me!

Bump. Anyone have any knowledge in this subject?

Ok. It really depends upon what courses you're taking online. If it's stuff that's not offered beyond the on-level range at your school, or at all, go for it. But if there is an AP or Honors designation class in that area at your school, you should take that instead.

In the case there is a more rigorous class available, top colleges may look at taking an online course as taking the easy way out, regardless of how you do.

If it's just PE or Health, I'd definitely do it as these classes are retarded anyways.

Well, I talked to my counselor, who recommended U of California's college prep. I'm not taking any "core classes"- I'm looking at sociology as well as psychology right now (both of which are not available at my school).

If you're taking them because you are interested in them and they are not available at your school, more power to you. I'd take 'em.
