Are there any online summer courses that I can use for credit and/or placement at Duke, especially in Biology? How would I go about finding these courses, and if they do exist, how much do they cost? Any links would also be helpful. Thank you in advance.

i dont think duke accepts online courses -- transfer credits have to come from 4 year universities in courses that have normal university students.

Yea, Duke is a very rigorous school. They do not accept online courses. Even getting a Calc II class approved for me to take this Summer took an enormous amount of persuasion. They really don't like you doing transfer credits, and they only will take a total of two, non-study abroad transfer credits.

4 if you are in pratt :)

to add to what i said and to build on chuckleybob's statement, it IS hard to get courses to transfer to duke. In order for me to get credit for econ 55 at duke, I have to take econ 301 at UVa. Econ 301 is intermediate micro with calculus and covers most of the econ 105 material at duke, but is not rigorous enough. I was hoping to take econ201 (intro micro), but duke said the course was too easy.

I took econ 201 as a high school sophomore at UVA...and yeah, it doesn't cover as much as 55. Duke's econ core is set up kind of strangely.

wow arent you advanced :)
