Online Decision Notification

I feel like I'm intruding, since it's so ... clique-y in here. Not that it's a bad thing, I guess.

I apologize if there's already been a post about this, but does anyone know (with certainty) at what time the decisions will be posted on the Yale website? I know they'll be up the 16th (or so they say) but will they be up immediately, like at 12am (which I doubt) .... or .. what?

Well, I'll stop with my parenthetical abuse.

It's cliquey here? Hm... I wasn't aware. Anyone is welcome to join us.

Well, Yale has officially stated that they'll be online at 5 PM on the 16th. I'd expect that they'd definitely, absolutely be online then. However, we all have hopes that we'll see them on the 15th.

I could be imagining things. I tend to do that.

Wasn't there a system overload last year due to the traffic overload? Or not, I don't know.

There was for Regular Decision results, but I don't think there was a problem for EA.

I, too, would imagine there'll be no problem for EA. There are less than 4000 early applicants, and if the site can't handle that? Ew.

Hahah. Yeah, you're right. I'm just trying to fabricate reasons for it to be postponed because I'd rather live in blissful ignorance. I feel like getting accepted is like getting struck by lightning. Not to be a sycophant, but seriously, all of you ... like, your stats - reading them makes me sick to my stomach. I felt kinda good about this whole thing until I came to this board. Um .. yeah hahah

Ambrosia, I'm totally with you on that! I gave myself a 50/50 chance of getting in... Then I came here. There went /that/ figure. ;)

Especially that post about the c/o '08 Decisions. I got SO depressed.

welcome ambrosia :). You should bump the Yale EA Roster thread and add yourself to the list.

Last year they posted on line decisions a day earlier than they had announced that they would. The decisions came online somewhere about 6PM central time as I recall. They were supposed to post on the 16th last year as well but actually were up on the 15th. Good luck to all!

I can't decide if that's a good or bad thing.

If I think about myself generally, I always feel like I'm not being a complete butthead for applying; but the minute I come check out CC, I feel like an idiot who wasted the early app and can't get in if her life depended on it. I get so upset I start to cry sometimes.

Almost all of the other Ivies, except for Pton, post on the 10th

I say its a good thing if they come early. Waiting is the hardest part.

I wish they were out right now :p

Yeah, me too.

Not until finals are over...I don't want to endure pitying stares or gloats or false congratulations...though I suppose considering the circumstances that false congratulations would still be sweet.

So have the decisions been made yet? I figure if they haven't, they'd be cutting it pretty close, but still...

Haha, I agree...I have totally been considering the same thing: the reactions of others. I'm not so sure that's a good thing...

dtown, I would be very surprised if they have. MIT has just started its final selection process and they mail their letters on this Sat!

Yeah, I also want to know if the decisions have been made yet! Here is what I do know: They extended the deadline for the alumni interviewers to turn in their reports to Dec. 5th, so that means Yale only stopped getting interview reports just yesterday! So, they can't have made ALL the FINAL decisions for EVERYONE Just Yet, right?
