Hi, does anyone know if they're going to post the decision status online tomorrow?

I think we will hear from them on the 15th

"Welcome applicant!

Freshman applicants will be notified of admission decisions between March 1 to March 31.

Transfer applicants will be notified of admission decisions between March 1 and May 1."
Why would they wait until the 15th?

After I applied, the email they sent me said:

"We expect to complete admissions decisions by March 15 to March 30 for

freshman students and by March 15 to May 1 for transfer students."

Yes, I received that too, but that was sent a while ago. Wouldn't the online "check your application status" site be their current expectations?

On UCSB admissions web page it now says, "
Freshman applicants will be notified of admission decisions mid-March."

This is a recent change.

Last year, we got our admissions in the mail before they were available online. This may also hold true for this year.

The online decisions will be posted on the 17th now...that sucks

it's only 2 days! and it gives a specific time of 5PM... at least it sounds like all decisions for UCSB will be posted on that date so there will be no long waiting periods and added anxiety (I hope!)

So now we only have to hope that the server doesn't crash like always =( ... they should juss use akamai and everyone would be happy =)

Does it say this on the website? Where?

The UCSB Freshman Admissions site says 3/17 at 5PM decisions will be posted.

I'm guessing UCSB changed it to FRIDAY, March 17 and AFTER their office closes at 5:00 pm so they don't have to deal with all those phone calls until the following Monday!

UCs are known to post decisions on a Friday.

except UCI, who posted on 3/1 (Wed) in the early AM...

UCLA Posted online acceptances today.

Interesting that UCLA with 42,000 freshman applications is already posting decisions, and UCSB with 4,500 fewer apps to process needs another full week.

no it didn't, collegeparent. I went to their website earlier today and it still said the site for fall 2006 is not up yet

lol ok i was wrong
