My admission status is still pending but I've been assigned a UCSB Perm.No. next to my name. Does that mean I'm in? UCSB Perm. No. is a 7 digit number used for UCSB student ID.

heyy i just got in too!

Admitted! yay!

hey if u go into a uc school any one of em as a undeclared or undeclared social science tat pretty much means you can choose whatever major you want as long as its in the letters and science college right?

Notify the Office of Admissions immediately before you change any courses from those reported on your application. If informed in time, we may be able to approve such changes or suggest alternatives that will allow you to maintain your admission.

Maintain at least a "B" average in your senior year course work.

Notify the Office of Admissions immediately if you earn a grade below "C" in your senior year. Even one D or F may render you ineligible to the University of California. By notifying us promptly, we may be able to offer some alternate preparation that will allow you to maintain your admission.

Complete the required standardized tests and have the official results sent directly from the testing agency to UCSB's Office of Admissions. Scores must be submitted for the following examinations:

The SAT Reasoning Test or the ACT Assessment plus Writing.

Two SAT Subject Tests.
These must be in two different areas, chosen from the following: English literature, history and social studies, mathematics (Level 2 only), science or language other than English.

Advanced Placement or International Baccalaureate results (if taken).

Send official high school transcripts (and any college transcripts, if applicable) to the Office of Admissions by July 15, 2006. High school transcripts must include the exact date of high school graduation ("class of 2006" is not acceptable).

Applicants are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all academic information they report. Inconsistency of self-reported information with actual grades and courses will result in cancellation of admission and may jeopardize future application to any campus of the University of California.

Your submission of the Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) certifies that you understand and agree to comply with the conditions of admission.

If you have questions about these conditions, please contact the Office of Admissions before submitting your SIR.

UCSBSTUD: The permanent UCSB ID number was assigned when they received your application. Rejections have been posted on this thread so being "pending" is still a good thing!

^It's weird but I heard a lot of people who got accepted into Davis were rejected from Santa Barbara.

Funny how when I told people I was applying to Davis, they say things like "wow, i didn't know you were THAT smart" and when I said I was applying to santa barbara, they're all "ooh you just want to party." Well I got into Davis.

But I was REJECTED from Santa Barbara.

I didn't put a course I'm currently in on my application since I didn't know I was taking it yet then. And it's an honors class. I know you need real reasons to appeal and whatnot. So I guess that could be one. Is it really worth the trouble of appealing?

UCSB can kiss it.
