Online education... HELP!

Hello all,

This past semester I ended up failing 6 out of 8 classes and dropping out of school due to mental and financial instability. I want to eventually go back to school and get a degree from a university... but for now, I have to work at getting my gpa up and getting my life on track.

I was wondering if anyone knew of any CREDIBLE COMMUNITY COLLEGES (two year schools) that offer online classes as the primary form of study? I will not be able to physically attend school but I need to register and enroll somewhere so I can raise my gpa and not have to start paying my loans back just yet.

I would really like a school that offers courses and credits that can transfer to most other schools in the States considering I would like to apply to a university again after a year or two in community college.

If not, does anyone know of colleges in NEW YORK CITY that provide online classes to a transfer student with a 2.54 gpa? I’m thinking about possibly doing online classes at a NYC school and then transferring to a NYC university… if transferring out of state wouldn't work.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Where are you exactly? Your location reads NYC. If that is so, why don’t you just pay a visit to the closest CUNY branch and talk with them?

Staying in school just to avoid paying student loans may not be the smartest move for you right now. You failed those classes for a reason. Deal with those issues first, then think about going back to school.

Thanks Happymom. This was really helpful.

The only reason I would want to go back to school is because I have no way of paying for loans right now. I payed for college all by myself last year, so I have no financial support.

But again, thanks for everything. I’ll check out those links.
