Is getting a degree in education frowned upon by employers? Is it hard to find a job? I am taking a course online and it is harder then the brick and mortar school. Anybody that has an online degree please let me know.

Well, they usually do treat people from University of Phoenix or other well known online schools different..

If you're taking online classes at...NYU for example, they'll never know. It will look like an NYU diploma.

Just back from watching my sister graduate from the brick-and-mortar campus of Ashford University (www.ashford.edu). There were something like 50 on-campus students at the ceremony, and another 200 who were graduating from the on-line programs had driven and flown in from all over the country. I have no idea how many more distance graduates there were who couldn't get there in person.

For those needing a place to transfer to for a BA or BS, Ashford accepts up to 90 (yes, ninety) semester hours of credit. Depending on your major field, and previous studies and CLEP, etc. credits, you could be done in about a year.

Make certain that the program you enroll in has regional accreditation, and it should be fully equivalent to an "on-campus" degree.

Wishing you all the best.
