I'm an international student, and the only onde from my school trying to get into an american university. As the uni entrance in my country differs a lot from the US, my teachers are not used to writing recommendations for students. They are all willing to help me and all, but i'm afraid they may end up writing weak/generic letters due to their lack of knowledge on the subject.
Does anyone know any site on how to write rec letters, or with tips and such that I can provide them?

I think MIT’s advice for teachers and counselors is fantastic

Basically, your teachers do not need to say that you’re a good person, have strong character and such. The colleges want to know how you contribute, how you make others better, if you’re really a hungry learner.

Print out that page or give them the link. Good luck to you
