Online Master of Finance program

I've been researching some Online Mfin programs but haven't really been able to find any good programs very easily. Can anyone point me in the right direction? A part-time program in California would also be an option.

Indiana University offers an Online MFin

I would avoid an online finance masters degree at all costs. Allthough I’m not a fan of online programs in general, finance is probably the least useful. My reasoning is that finance is probably the most “pedigree required” career field. Aside from consulting, what other field do you have to attend a top school to have a reasonable shot. I could see getting an online masters in accounting to acquire the necessary 150 credits for the CPA, but online finance masters will be completely useless. IMO, it will actually hurt your career prospects as someone reviewing your resume will pretty much toss it when they read about your online degree.

Don’t really know of any part time finance masters worth much either. There are only a few worthwhile full-time programs in the US. What is your backround and what are your career plans? I would suggest two possible courses of action.

1.) Take a year off from what your doing and complete a finance masters in the UK. That type of program is much more popular there compared to the US.

2.) Skip the masters and work on the CFA. Then get an MBA later down the road. Since it seems your looking to get additional education while still working, this might be your best bet.
