Online notification of ED acceptance?

does mit post up the decisions online on dec 15? or do we havta wait for the mail?
Thanks!

ACTUALLY i just looked because you mispelled "loses".

jk

omfg... scared me there.
the answer.... i dunno.

snail mail, although I am wondering if due the postponement of the ea deadline that mit might not be able to complete its reading by the 15th.

John Galt

Lol....3 days is going to effect the reading of 15 thousand applications. I think they have a pretty good system in place to even think they can do that in month. Whats 3 days from a perfect system....

Short answer: It might but i doubt it, test scores and stuff can still come as far as i am aware.

I'm a moron...they get around 15k total probablly only 5-8 for EA (I have absolutely no idea if this is close but it feels good to be an expert)....That value is much more possible in a month (maybe its less of a perfect system than i orignally thought) :)

Newspapers print corrections: Im happy just ruining any credit i have right off the bat. :)

Ben Jones mentioned either here or in his blog that the notifications will be going out mid-Dec. by mail again this year.

ahh i wish i could check online... my postman/woman always loses letters... and it's always the important ones...

What if your mail infrastructure is broken up? What if the message never reaches you :-(? Is there a way to call MIT and ask, perhaps during January?

Roughly a week after the decisions have been mailed, they allow incoming phonecalls to check on your status.

Thanks for the clarification. Mootmom -- you really know a lot about MIT and its dmissions process!
