Online or distance-learning graduate school from reputed universities

I'm interested in getting a Master's degree to complement my B.S. in Computer Science. I won't be able to attend grad school in person because of personal reasons, so I'm looking at online programs from respected and "regular" public or private universities (not DeVry, ITT, Univ. of Phoenix, etc. :)).

Do any of you have any recommendations on what universities' programs I should look at? I'm interested in pursuing an MS in the following subjects, so I would appreciate any relevant recommendations that you can make.

Computer Science (and related subjects, like information systems)

Math (all forms of it)

Finance, Financial Engineering, and related subjects.

Columbia University offers a MS in computer science as well as industrial engineering through the CVN program (Columbia Video Network). I'm neither recommending it nor advising against it; I just know it exists.

That's really, really helpful. Thank you Ken!

I think the University of Washington has some sort of online degree program in some of these fields. Check its computer science, math, and applied math departments.

Here is a list of the IEEE's educational partners - the academic ones offer online degrees, and most of them offer degrees in computer science.

IEEE - IEEE Education Partners Program Providers

If you're an IEEE member (you qualify to be, with a degree in science or engineering), you get a 10% discount at these places. If not, you get the benefit of knowing that "the world's leading professional association for the advancement of technology" decided that these programs were reputable enough to partner with them.

I know that in addition to these, Columbia and the University of Florida both offer reputable online degrees.

Stanford offers online masters through the SCPD program. I think you might need to be working at a specific company in order to participate though. THat said, I know for a fact that you can get a bona fide Stanford MS in EE through this online option.

You can get Stanford MS in Comp Sci completely online but I think you have to specialize in systems because all their classes can be taken remotely. Other specialization might require you to attend some classes on campus.

Distance Education Network - USC Viterbi School of Engineering

USC Computer Science is pretty decent. You can finish off the degree without ever set foot in LA. Note though, several great electives are only offered on campus if there's not enough online enrollment, I guess it costs a lot of money to put the class on their Distance Education Network.

Aside from USC, CMU and UIUC both offer online Computer Science Master degree.
