It seems to imply that the teacher has to print and send a recommendation by snail-mail. Is this true or does the teacher just submit it electronically?

I don't want my teacher to be left confused if I don't give them a pre-addressed and pre-stamped envelope.

Nope, I had a teacher do one online and although I didn't see the page or anything, my "recommendations" page on my application says "received" next to her name...so you don't have to print it out and send it via snail mail. What would be the difference between online and a hard copy if you had to print the online one out?

how long did it take u sub?

my teacher claims he sent it out on Monday, but it's friday now and i still see "has not submitted"

Actually I saw it said "Received" or something before she even told me about it (she sent it, I saw that she sent it that day but I was absent from school and she told me the next day that it was in). I think I got an email from them saying they got it from her...and I think it sent the email right away (automatic). Have your teacher double check.
