Hey guys, I know the commonapp enables teachers/counselors to submit their recs online, but does Smith allow you to do this? Or is paper the only thing they accept?

Thanks!

I’m pretty sure that they can submit online. I don’t know, it’s been a while since I applied.

I can’t figure out how to do it! The woman I spoke to at Smith said she didn’t know, but I checked all the FAQs on the commonapp site and they said it should work. None of the ‘invite’ buttons or anything are on the school forms page for Smith though…

Well if the buttons aren’t there, that would be a pretty good indication that they need to mail in the teacher recs I guess. Did you check the Smith application page?

My teachers submitted mine online through naviance. Basically all I had to do was sign in w/ my commonapp account on naviance, waive my right to see the apps, and request that two specific teachers at my school recommend me. Then I checked w/ the teachers – and all went well.
I don’t know how to do it if you don’t have naviance…

Maybe transfers just can’t do it. That’s what I’m coming to believe. Any other transfers know?
