Yes he is. :-) He is from Lake Brantley. Are you a freshman already, or are you waiting to hear? The weather reports are pretty "exciting" for those of us in sunny Florida! I hope S can handle it!! :-)

I got in ED. And yeah, I'm not sure that I can even grasp what below zero feels like, at this point.

I couldn't either. I was complaining to my daughter last week because we had an 8 degree day with a zero wind chill and they were having -20. I did notice that they acclimate to the weather rather quickly, as she tells me she was taking the layering in stages, because she did not want to put on the "heavy duty cold stuff" when it was 20 degrees because she knew it would get colder.

I sent her silk thermals, whcih she said were really great. Now that stores are stocking for spiring they are on sale, I would recommend stocking up. There is a thread on the parents forum about cold weather gear

We've been doing the daily weather report from Hanover! Truly the temps don't seem real when it is 65 or 70 degrees. We can only buy silk thermals online and at the ski store, which almost never has a sale. Regular Walmart/Target thermals are those heavy cotton kind because they are sold for guys going huntin' and fishin', and they are worn under those heavy camo coveralls that are so popular down here - I don't think my petitie daughter can manage those. I'm doing a Froogle search right now. I did pick up some flannel sheets on sale.

Hi Cangel,

Sierra trading post has silk thermals on sale

D really likes the silk because there is no bulk under your clothes and they do keep you warm.

Long Undies: Chilies. Not bulky, some thin material. A New England standard. Check em out online.
