How long after you all sent in your applications did it take for Rice to e-mail the login information for the online status checking system?

I sent in my application about one month ago, and though the deadline is in 14 days; I would really like to know if all my materials have been successfully received, but I do not wish to pester the admissions office for such information.

i got mine like 3 weeks after i submitted my application, it was a little postcard that told me where to go and also got an email saying the same thing too.

The postcard I received did not have any information about the online status site except in that it mentioned that Rice would e-mail me the information.

It seems strange that Rice hasn't e-mailed you the login information after a month, but maybe they're just swamped with applications right now. I'd say give it a week or less, and if you still don't get anything, then give them a call.

disclaimer: i dont know much about rice admissions. but i think you said you were applying for transfer, right?
if that's the case, i called their admissions office back when i was starting to get everything together to ask questions, and the admissions officer i talked to said that they won't look at any applications until after the march 15 deadline (my question was whether applying earlier would help me in any way).
i dont know if this could have anything to do with your lack of a status check page, but it might :).

Well, the thing is, by using IonX's method you're using an account that's already been created for you- you should know about it, you just don't.

I am under the belief that Rice will let me know about it when it is appropriate, but yes, it would be appropriate to use IonX's method if Rice forgot to send me such information. I really want to use it... but... choices.

check your spam email folder...i've had some rice and uc emails end up there [very odd, so i greenlisted those addresses]. possibly the one with your account updates went into there?

I have been doing that everyday; incidentally, a fellow transfer student tried the aforementioned method only to discover that his username has yet to be created.
