Hello,
My parents had me read a book, "Acing the college Application" by an assistant director of admissions at Dartmouth, and in it he says that a written application shows more of a desire to attend whereas an online application is a quick way to fill out an application and doesn't show time and care etc.

This is one man's opinion. Does it hold true to others in the admissions office as well, and how much of a diffrence does it make?

I'm not an admissions officer, so I can't really say authoritatively -- but I think it does show a little extra effort perhaps, but only if thats how its interpreted...from what I understand, electronic apps are easier to process, so they might look at phyical ones as more of a hassle -- and if its hand written, whos to say they'll be able to read your writing, etc. etc. I know a couple of kids who used a typewriter on the physical form, but it seemed to be more of a hassle than it was worth in the end...just my 2 cents
